1. This competition is open ONLY to registered campers of Teenacity Camp’08. Performers MUST include camp registration no. for verification purposes.
2. It is open to any GROUP, BAND, or SOLO artists who attain 17 years of age or under before 1st April in the year in which the competition is held. All participants must possess valid identification and must be Malaysian citizens.
3. Bands/performers must not be professionally signed to any record label, agency or other organisation. Definition of professionally signed is a group/artist whose members receive regular and taxable payment from the groups earnings and have a management who are paid to conduct the group/artists’ work.
4. Bands/performers MUST be registered through Christian Fellowships (CF) in respective schools. Entrees without the covering of CFs will not be entertained.
5. The competition final will be held in front of a public audience and before a panel of expert and lay judges. The organisers will appoint the judges and their decision is final in all aspects.
6. The CLOSING DATE for entries to the competition will be on the 10th May 2008. This competition is LIMITED to 10 Competitors (Group or Solo) on First-Come-First Basis. Entrées received later than 17th May 2008 will NOT be entertained.
7. Each Christian Fellowship(CF) is allowed a MAXIMUM of 2 entrees.
8. Each entry will perform:
   • 1 performance NO LONGER than a 10 minutes .
   (Sound check and stage setup: 5mins , 1 song: 5mins)
   • Songs MUST be original compositions.
9. Entries must be totally live and not have any pre-recorded parts to it. The only exception to this will be:-
   • Sequenced tracks as part of a techno performance. At least 70% of the performance must be played live.
   • Use of decks.
10. Participants will be required to use the provided:
    
    PA
    2 Guitar amps
    1 Bass amp
    1 Keyboard
    3 Microphones
    1 D.I Box
    1 Drum Set
    
    Musicians are permitted bring their own combos and instruments ( FX units, leads, snare drum, stool and cymbals). A detailed list of instruments and equipments used MUST be submitted along with the application form and is subject to approval by the organizers.
11. Instrument cables are limited to 1 per instrument. Additional cables not provided. Guitarists who require additional cables are encouraged to bring their own cables.
12. Performers will be judged on:
    a] Creativity(arrangement and lyrics, feel etc)
    b] Performance (confidence and poise),
    c] Presentation (appearance and personal presentation plus audience communication) and
    d] Entertainment value (connection and appeal).
13. This is a music competition and awards will be musically based. Dance and stage performance may be used but will form only a small element of the judging in terms of entertainment value.
14. It is the performers’ responsibility to ensure that the material used in their performance is of an acceptable standard and conforms to public entertainment standards. Bad language is not admissible nor any statements or actions which could be interpreted as prejudice or inflammatory against race, colour, creed, religion, sexuality, or gender. Any breeches of this rule will result in the immediate suspension from the competition and set terminated (switched off). If there is any doubt please consult the organisers before the competition. Performers will be held responsible for any damage that is caused at any time during the event.
15. Candidates must produce a printed “running sheet” of their programme including composers and publishers to conform to copyright legislation.
16. There will only be ONE GRAND PRIZE WINNER.
17. Prizes for 2008 are: RM 500 first prize (Awarded to Performers) + RM500 Music Store Gift Voucher(Awarded to Respective CF).
18. Prizes awarded are neither exchangeable nor transferable. The Organisers do not guarantee the availability of any prizes and shall be entitled to replace any of the prizes with another notwithstanding the allocation of the prizes by the Organiser.
19. Candidates will be disqualified should they falsify, directly or inadvertently, any information in connection with this competition.
20. Please note that each candidate will be allowed 2 complimentary tickets per band member to the event.
21. The organisers reserve the right to change or amend these rules and conditions without notice should they see fit.
